Introducing 1st XI Soccer Captain
Congratulations to Aaron – 1st XI Soccer Captain for 2025
We are proud to announce and congratulate Aaron from Lavalla House on his selection as Captain of the Marcellin College 1st XI Soccer Team for 2025.
Aaron joined us from St John’s Primary in Heidelberg. His journey with Marcellin soccer began in Year 7, and through years of dedication, discipline, and leadership, he has earned the respect of his peers and coaches alike. After debuting for the 1st XI in 2024, Aaron quickly made an impact—playing every game that season, helping lead the team to the semifinals, and being recognised as runner-up in the Best and Fairest Award.
Off the field, Aaron balances a demanding training schedule—five sessions a week across both school and club—with his academic responsibilities. His ability to manage time effectively, use his downtime wisely, and stay committed to both schoolwork and sport speaks volumes about his character.
Aaron also represents FC Bulleen Lions at the VPL level, playing in both the U19s and U23s squads. Having been with the club since the age of eight, he brings extensive experience and a strong competitive edge to the Marcellin side.
In his new leadership role, Aaron is most looking forward to being a positive role model, particularly for the younger boys in the team. “Representing the College is a great honour,” he says. “I want to enjoy every moment and help the team grow together.”
Aaron’s advice to junior players is simple but powerful: “Enjoy every moment—playing with mates is one of the things I’ve cherished the most. Get involved in everything the school has to offer; you never know where it might take you.”
We look forward to seeing Aaron lead with passion and purpose as he guides the team toward their goal of a premiership in 2025. Congratulations, Aaron, on this well-deserved honour.
