Parents and Friends Group
The Marcellin College Parents & Friends Group is a collection of parents and friends of the College each with their own areas of interest, to assist in the community development of the College. All parents are members of the association and are encouraged to become involved in its activities.
This volunteer group shares its time and energy all year round to connect families across all year levels with a number of social events, including Mother’s Day breakfasts, cocktail evenings, and an annual gala, as well as overseeing the second-hand uniform shop and helping out in the canteen.
The Marcellin College Parents & Friends Group is always looking for additional volunteer support. By joining our dedicated group, it will allow you the opportunity to share the pride in the College that the staff and students do on a daily basis.
Second Hand Uniform Shop
The Second-Hand Uniform Shop is located behind Marist House. The opening hours are 9:30am to 12:30pm the first Friday of each school month. Payment for items can be made by cash, cheque, EFT or credit card.
Items you have for sale can be delivered to the second hand uniform shop every FIRST Friday of the month between 9:30am – 12:30pm (excluding school holidays) or alternatively, items can be left at reception.
All clothing items to be give to the uniform shop must be:
- Dry cleaned and freshly laundered. Any unwashed items will NOT be accepted
- All donations are more than welcome
- All items to be neatly labelled with name, address and contact number. The cheque payments will be made out to the name provided to us
The Second Hand Uniform Shop’s annual sale is held in early December. Families can contact the College closer to the end of the academic year for the exact date.
We are always looking for our volunteers for our Friday sessions once per month.
All enquiries to Jo Bourke email@example.com or leave a message at reception.
The Parents & Friends Group prices the clothing and reserves the right to reject any clothes that are not standard uniform, out of date, or in too poor a condition to sell (especially items with patches, worn knees and seats). Unless the seller has requested that unsold clothing be returned, rejected clothing or clothing that has been in stock for a lengthy period of time is disposed of to charity or accordingly.
