“MCCA committee prices the clothing and reserves the right to reject any clothes that are not standard uniform, out of date, or in too poor a condition to sell (especially items with patches, worn knees and seats). Unless the seller has requested that unsold clothing be returned, rejected clothing or clothing that has been in stock for a lengthy period of time is disposed of to charity or accordingly.”
Marcellin College Community Association
Marcellin College Community Association (MCCA) is a collection of parents and friends of the College each with their own areas of interest, combining together to assist in the community development of the College. All parents are members of the association and are encouraged to become involved in its activities.
The MCCA is a not for profit organization that works closely with the College to fill the void in fund raising that would not ordinarily be picked up in the standard budget expectations that the College allows for each year.
Areas such as hardship allowances, supporting charities, supporting special celebration days on the academic calendar such as Champagnat Day and numerous other functions, so as to ensure your son’s journey through his secondary schooling years is as enjoyable as possible.
This small group of dedicated parents, work tirelessly all year round, and provide services to the College that most would not be aware of such as second-hand books and uniforms, coordination of parental staff for the canteen, social functions such as the Annual School Dinner Dance, support of the Time and Space program, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day breakfast, and the annual raffle to name a few.
The MCCA’s focus is not only about fundraising and making a profit, it is about providing an opportunity for parents and friends to be able to get to know other parents within the College community, and more importantly to help the parents of our boys to have a memorable experience of their time at Marcellin.
The association is always looking for additional parental support, and by joining our dedicated team it will allow you the opportunity to share the pride in the College that the staff and students do on a daily basis.
